My roots are in the mountainous, western part of Austria. I studied Geography at the University of Innsbruck (A) and Aberdeen (UK) and worked as a consultant in the field of natural hazard
management in Innsbruck.
I decided to come back to university and conducted my PhD in the Hydrology & Climate Group of the Geography Department at the University of Zurich (CH).
I recently finished my postdoc at the Earth and Ocean Science Department at Duke University, North Carolina (USA) and have moved to the Chair of Hydrology at the University of Freiburg (Germany)
where I have started a new project on phosphorus cycling in forest stands.
